Usually no! Most smart upgrades work with your existing setup — smart bulbs, plugs, thermostats, and sensors simply replace or add to what you have. No expensive rewiring needed. However, if you want new installations like a smart gate, automated blinds, or hardwired devices that don't exist yet, those may require additional electrical work which we can quote separately.
Apple Home is the gold standard for smart home control. It just works — no technical knowledge needed. Control everything from one beautiful app on iPhone, iPad, Mac, or Apple Watch. Share access with family members instantly (they get their own controls without sharing passwords). "Hey Siri, I'm home" can trigger lights, heating, and music automatically. Everything processes locally on your home hub, so it's fast, private, and works even when internet is down. No subscriptions, no ads, no data harvesting — just a smart home that respects your privacy.
No problem! While Apple users get the native Home app experience, Android family members get full control through the Home Assistant companion app. It's excellent — widgets, notifications, voice control via Google Assistant, even smartwatch support. Everyone controls the same devices, just through their preferred interface. Mixed households work great.
Honestly? Probably not. Apple designed HomeKit to be incredibly user-friendly — scanning a code and adding a device takes seconds, and most people can do it regardless of technical experience. We can help if you want us to, but we won't charge you for something you can easily do yourself. Where we really add value is when you have devices that aren't HomeKit compatible but you still want them in Apple Home.
